The Palestinian Youth Movement’s DMV chapter took credit for the incident, claiming that they aimed to disrupt Netanyahu’s stay and send a message to Congress.
Security measures were heightened at the Watergate Hotel in anticipation of Netanyahu’s arrival, with special fences being installed to ensure the safety of the prime minister and other guests.
