Salisbury is gearing up to honor those who have served their country at the annual Remembrance Sunday Service on November 10th, 2024. The event, organized by the Salisbury Branch of the Royal British Legion, Salisbury City Council, and St Thomas’s Church, will take place at the War Memorial in the Guildhall Square.

The day will begin with a parade at 10:30 am, starting from Avon Approach and ending at the Guildhall Square. At 10:50 am, a small ceremony will be held at the War Memorial, followed by a 2-minute silence at 11:00 am and prayers. The parade will then proceed along New Canal, where key figures like Lord Lieutenant Sarah Troughton and the Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr Sven Hocking, will be present to take the salute. The parade will culminate at St. Thomas’s Church for the Sunday Service at 11:40 am, after which the Civic Party will return to Salisbury Guildhall via St Thomas’s Square.

Traffic diversions will be in place during these times, and some bus routes may be affected. It is advisable to check the Salisbury Reds website for bus timetables before embarking on your journey.
