Sean “Diddy” Combs has made a surprising move by deleting all of his Instagram posts, including the video apology he shared back in May after surveillance footage of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura came to light. The music mogul’s verified account, which has nearly 20 million followers, now stands empty, but the account itself remains active without any changes to his profile photo or bio.
While Combs has not given a public explanation for this decision, reports suggest that he simply wanted to reset his social media, something he has done in the past. Sources close to Combs mentioned that this move was not targeted at Ventura or anyone else and that he still stands by the statements he made in the apology video.
In November, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of physical and sexual abuse. However, the case was dropped after reaching an out-of-court settlement the following day. The release of surveillance footage from 2016 in May, showing Combs physically assaulting Ventura, led to his public apology, which has now been deleted along with all his other posts.
Despite the deletion of his Instagram posts, Combs still faces multiple lawsuits alleging sexual assault, sex trafficking, and other illegal activities, all of which he has denied. One of the lawsuits was filed by former fashion student April Lampros, accusing Combs of sexual assault in the 1990s. Other lawsuits were filed by Liza Gardner, Jane Doe, Joi Dickerson-Neal, and music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
Combs has not removed his posts on X, formerly Twitter, with his last update dating back to February. However, a post from December 6 defending himself against the allegations in the lawsuits filed last fall remains pinned at the top of his X page. In the post, Combs vehemently denies the accusations and vows to fight for his name, family, and the truth.
While the reasons behind Combs’ decision to delete his Instagram posts remain unclear, his legal battles continue to unfold. Despite the controversies surrounding him, Combs maintains his innocence and determination to clear his name in the face of these allegations.
