The Denver Broncos took full advantage of the depleted New Orleans Saints roster on Thursday night, securing a 33-10 win at the Superdome. Broncos running back Javonte Williams had a standout performance, scoring two touchdowns in the game, while kicker Will Lutz was perfect on his field goal attempts in the first half.

In the second half, Lutz continued his strong performance, adding another field goal to the scoreboard. Williams also found the end zone for the second time, extending the Broncos’ lead to 26-3. To further solidify their victory, Denver returned a fumble for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, ultimately winning with a 33-10 lead.

The Saints, missing key players like their starting quarterback and top receivers, struggled to generate offense. Quarterback Spencer Rattler threw for 172 yards, connecting with receivers Bub Means, Foster Moreau, and Alvin Kamara. On the Broncos’ side, Williams had a breakout game with 88 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Bo Nix added 75 rushing yards.

This game marked Sean Payton’s return to New Orleans since leaving the team in 2021 after 16 years as their head coach. Payton, who led the Saints to a Super Bowl victory, faced his former team as the Broncos’ offensive coordinator.

With this win, the Broncos now have a winning record and will face the Carolina Panthers next week. On the other hand, the Saints have now lost five consecutive games after starting the season with two wins. They will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers in Week 8.
