Shannen Doherty has recently filed for spousal support in the midst of her divorce from Kurt Iswarienko, citing his extravagant spending habits. The documents she submitted in Los Angeles on June 14 state that she is seeking a monthly payment of $15,343, retroactive to June 1, 2024. Doherty pointed out that her average annual earnings during the last three years of their marriage were significantly lower than Iswarienko’s, with most of her residual income coming from the television show ‘Charmed,’ which will no longer be available for streaming after June 30, 2024. This change will lead to a substantial decrease in her future residual income.
Doherty, who is currently battling stage 4 breast cancer and unable to work, emphasized that her monthly expenses exceed $54,600. Additionally, her medical bills are expected to rise due to her ineligibility for SAG Health Insurance. She expressed concern that Iswarienko is deliberately delaying the settlement process, hoping that she will not survive long enough to see the divorce through.
In addition to spousal support, Doherty has requested that Iswarienko cover $9,100 for her attorney fees and costs. The couple, who married in 2011, began divorce proceedings in April 2023. On her podcast, “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty,” the actress shared her emotional journey, revealing that she underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor in early 2023 after discovering her husband’s alleged infidelity.
