A Texas couple, Omar Bishtawi and Hana Alolaimi, have been charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault for allegedly attempting to kidnap and kill the man Alolaimi was having an affair with. The man, who was also married, ended the relationship when his wife found out. Alolaimi and Bishtawi then planned to take matters into their own hands.

The couple waited for the victim, a Doordash driver, outside a Chick-fil-A in Houston. When the victim entered his vehicle, Alolaimi tried to drive off, but Bishtawi emerged from the back seat, held the victim in a chokehold, and shot him twice when he tried to escape. Fortunately, the victim survived after being rushed to the hospital.

The victim had ended the relationship with Alolaimi three months prior due to its toxic nature, but she continued to pursue him, even showing up at his new apartment. After the kidnapping, Bishtawi reportedly told the victim that he had to die for dishonoring his wife.

It was revealed in court that the couple has three children, ages 13, 10, and 7. Despite this, they were willing to carry out a violent act that could have resulted in a loss of life. The incident took place at the same Chick-fil-A where Alolaimi and the victim used to meet before driving to a secluded location behind a nearby Target.

Bishtawi’s bond was set at $200,000, while Alolaimi’s was set at $150,000. The couple now faces serious legal consequences for their actions. It is a chilling reminder of how far people can go when consumed by jealousy and revenge in the heat of the moment. The victim, lucky to be alive, will likely have a long road to recovery after experiencing such a traumatic event at the hands of individuals he once trusted.

This case serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of letting emotions like jealousy and anger drive one’s actions. Instead of seeking revenge, it is crucial to address conflicts in a peaceful and constructive manner. Hopefully, this incident will encourage others to seek help and support when faced with difficult situations rather than resorting to violence.
